Senior Switch Engineer

Main Accountabilities:
- Project interface: Take the lead in reviewing customer’s RFQ/specifications and ensuring our quotations are in compliance with the RFQ. Work with Application Engineers & Product Management, Customer Order Engineering, and the factory to ensure the customer and design specifications are being followed.

- Interface: Work directly with our sales teams, channel partners and end-users to provide technical support, build relationships with and enhance JST’s position in the market and with customers.

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
- degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing, engineering and/or project management experience.
- quoting projects in the electrical field, primarily in medium voltage products.
- understanding of Single-line diagrams for overall electrical systems; bus, circuit breakers, VT’s, and CT’s, as well as relays, meters and switches
- of risk identification and risk mitigation
- of financial models; cost, price and margin impact
- of Terms and Conditions common in the industry
- and have some knowledge of the medium voltage markets; customers, products, and regional demands within North America.
- of IEEE and NEMA Standards for medium voltage products.
- of and experience in pricing packaged products.
- with Microsoft Office functions including but not limited to Xcel, Word and PowerPoint.
- to travel to customer meetings ~15-20% of time
Preferred Qualifications
- degree in business or engineering discipline
- working with utilities, industrial customers and/or construction customers in either a front-end sales or marketing role
- working in data bases and data management
- communication skills with demonstrated proactive collaboration and effective influencing skills
