Brief Overview:
Forsyth Barnes has partnered with a rapidly growing retailer to seek a Strategic Sourcing Manager. This role offers a significant amount of responsibility and accountability, making a high impact within the organization. As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will manage key expenditure categories, applying strategic sourcing methodologies to optimize value from the indirect supplier base. Additionally, you will develop a 3-year global category strategy aligned with business objectives, including supply market analysis, benchmarking, sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key expenditure categories, applying strategic sourcing methodologies to optimize value from the indirect supplier base.
- Execute project milestones using strategic sourcing methods.
- Maintain or reduce the global supplier count for specific categories.
- Support and drive supplier diversity initiatives.
- Oversee global indirect spend for Technology across all brands and regions.
- Track and measure progress against individual and team metrics.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Develop a 3-year global category strategy aligned with business objectives, including supply market analysis, benchmarking, sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Ensure benefits from strategic sourcing activities are sustained and extended during the contract period.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of indirect sourcing experience across categories such as IT, Marketing, Distribution & Logistics, Facilities, Professional Services, and HR.
- Ability to quickly build relationships across a spectrum of stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to become a trusted advisor on sourcing matters.
- Experience in business process improvement and strategy projects.
- Up-to-date knowledge of procurement practices, technologies, and market trends.
- Experience with Procure-to-Pay technology solutions is a plus.
