Summary:

As an NFS Engineer, your mission is to deliver exceptional support to all employees. Responsibilities:

  • Imaging, Configuration, and Troubleshooting: Handle the imaging, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of personal computers and software. Your technical expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation and run reports. Clear communication and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
  • Solution-Oriented Approach: Actively engage with clients to devise innovative solutions that enhance services. Critical thinking and proposing improvements will be highly valued.
  • Stay Current with Technology: Stay informed about the latest technologies.
  • On-Site Presence: This role is not remote; you'll be based in Cleveland, Ohio, ensuring a strong on-site presence.

Required Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in technical support within a computer support environment. Less experience may be considered if you demonstrate a natural aptitude for the role.
  • Education: An associate degree in computer science and/or business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Thrive in a customer-oriented, positive team environment. Your friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills set you apart.
  • Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Platform Support: Support computer platforms across corporate, campus, and data center locations.
  • Project Support: Assist with single projects and initiatives, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Asset Management: Track corporate IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Desktop Application Maintenance: Install, support, and maintain desktop applications to keep systems running smoothly.

Top 3 Must-Haves:

  1. Technical Expertise: Reliable, quick learner with basic computer technical skills, ability to troubleshoot computer problems, and follow technical documentation instructions. Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop practice, Azure VMs, printing, and general desktop engineering.
  2. SharePoint and Azure VM Skills: Strong skills in SharePoint and file sharing engineering, particularly for data labeling and classification, and Azure VM engineering.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues.
