Adecco has partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit and hire a Manufacturing Process Engineer for their facility located just an hour north of downtown Columbia, SC.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support plant-wide projects, process improvements, and resolve production issues.
  • Provide direction for equipment upgrades, layout changes, and workflow enhancements.
  • Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate new technologies and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for manufacturing deviations and non-conformances.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure process reliability and safety.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with engineering/manufacturing software and process simulation tools. (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, ERP/MRP, etc…)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies and tools for continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of PLC systems, programming, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems (preferred).
