Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Do you have a compassionate heart and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others? Our hospice is seeking dedicated volunteer Pet therapists to visit patients who has requested pet therapy visits through their hospice care team. The simple act can trigger the release of beneficial hormones that can alleviate stress and feelings of isolation.

\*\*This is an unpaid position. Strictly Volunteering

*Responsibilities:*
\* Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families

*Qualifications:*

\*Compassionate and empathetic nature

\*Good communication and listening skills

\*Reliable and responsible

\*Willingness to complete a volunteer training program

\*Must be a licensed driver with an automobile insured in accordance with state or organization regulations.

\*Must pass a background check and comply with Tenderly Hospice policies and procedures

\*Surviving family member must meet one year waiting period after patient's death to participate in Tenderly Hospice's volunteer program
