Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospice Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care
- Evaluate patient condition and provide support and comfort according to individual needs
- Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care
- Administer medication and alleviate symptoms as needed
- Notify physicians of patient condition when necessary
- Assist patients and their families with paperwork and other administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse or Hospice Nurse
- Knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines
- Commitment to safety precautions and high ethical standards
- Proficient in English
- Sound judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Cool-tempered and patient
- Emotional/mental stability and stamina
- Formal nurse training; certification as a Hospice Nurse is a plus
- Current CPR certification
- Paid sick time
- Hospice & Palliative Medicine
- Associate (Required)
- Nursing: 2 years (Required)
- Oregon Drivers License (Required)
- Oregon Registered Nurse (Required)
