IntePros is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterling File Gateway Specialist. The Sterling File Gateway Specialist will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our file transfer infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange between our organization and external partners. This role requires in-depth expertise in IBM Sterling File Gateway and a strong understanding of file transfer protocols, security, and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

Sterling File Gateway Management:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain the Sterling File Gateway environment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor file transfer processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

File Transfer Protocols:

  • Implement and manage various file transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, and HTTPs.
  • Ensure the compatibility and security of file transfers according to industry standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Sterling File Gateway with internal and external systems.
  • Develop and maintain mappings and transformations to facilitate data exchange.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard data during transfer.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

  • Proactively monitor file transfer activities and respond to alerts or issues promptly.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures for the Sterling File Gateway environment.

Performance Optimization:

  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve file transfer processes for efficiency and reliability.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience working with IBM Sterling File Gateway, including installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols and secure data exchange practices.
  • Solid understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
  • Certification in IBM Sterling File Gateway is a plus.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with related IBM Sterling products (Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling Control Center, etc.).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl, Python) for automation.
  • Understanding of cloud-based file transfer solutions.
