This role involves maintaining and managing the master schedule for production, managing external resources, coordinating with various departments to resolve issues, and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will provide forecast input for raw materials, supervise the receipt and control of materials, and ensure customer delivery requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and administer production control and integrated business planning functions.
  • Manage supplier relationships and external resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Quality, and Sourcing departments to address and resolve issues.
  • Provide accurate forecast input for raw materials such as metal and coatings.
  • Ensure the accuracy of finished goods inventory and supervise the receipt of raw materials for production use.
  • Collaborate with Order Fulfillment to address supply issues impacting customer deliveries.
  • Resolve transportation and logistics challenges affecting customer deliveries.
  • Manage production planning for customer segments requiring special administrative handling.
  • Initiate, review, master, and follow relevant manuals, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Foster a customer relations climate of trust and confidence to minimize third-party interference.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within departments to create a positive and productive work environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and implement best practices in Production Control and Scheduling.
  • Coordinate the creation and scheduling of shop orders to meet customer demands and minimum stocking requirements.
  • Schedule secondary production operations efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order fluctuations, expected deliveries, and other plant concerns.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of inventory cycle counts.
  • Recommend and implement improvement projects related to inventory storage, trucking optimization, and other plant needs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle flow from shop order creation to customer shipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong ERP management skills, with a preference for experience with Infor/SyteLine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively direct and work with teams.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to read and interpret work instructions and job-related documentation.
  • Exceptional written, electronic, and verbal communication skills.
