Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our USRS Corporate FP&A team to provide timely and accurate analytics. This position will be responsible for consolidating monthly financials across USRS Operating companies, budget and forecast preparation, and ad-hoc reporting or special projects as needed. This position will initially support senior IT business leaders with potential to expand responsibilities. This is a highly visible role within an exciting and growing healthcare organization.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Consolidation of monthly financials and operational metrics supporting our IT function
  • Preparation of monthly Management Reporting functional summary
  • Perform variance and trend analysis and provide explanations of changes
  • Review functional expenses with IT Leadership Team members monthly
  • Track key projects and update status reports to support cross functional communication


Budget & Forecast Preparation

  • Key business partner in the preparation, coordination, and consolidation of USRS IT budget
  • Participate in annual budget preparation, providing analytics that coordinate strategic planning efforts and annual budget
  • Create and manage scenario based USRS forecast model to help guide business decisions for USRS leadership


Business Partner Influence

  • Act as a first point of contact with IT Leadership Team
  • Ability to influence leadership as well as Physician partners through use of financial analysis


Ad-Hoc Reporting & Special Projects

  • Support IT business partners as needed with financial validation of strategic initiatives
  • Additional ad-hoc work as needed

Qualifications:


Education/Licensing/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business

Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience conducting financial planning, reporting and analysis
  • Proven experience in a Financial Analyst role in an FP&A environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to translate complex financial data, verbally and graphically, to communicate with non-financial stakeholders and leaders
  • Advanced/expert Excel skills and experience with enterprise reporting tools / data warehouses
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow through to resolve outstanding issues
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet demanding deadlines
  • Professional ambition, initiative, team player with proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • High ability to adapt to changing priorities
