KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the month-end closing activities, which include preparing and reviewing closing journal entries and account reconciliations, as well as generating month-end financial reports and analyses.
- Manage daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate verification, classification, computation, and posting of transactions such as revenue, accounts receivable, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, and payroll in compliance with US GAAP.
- Assist in the creation and execution of process enhancements to streamline daily accounting functions and month-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and timely reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations.
- Contribute to the formulation and assessment of annual operating budgets.
- Examine financial statements to identify trends, estimates, and significant changes, summarizing and interpreting the company's current and projected financial status.
- Collaborate with accounting leadership to investigate technical accounting matters and aid in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation promptly.
- Assist management with special initiatives, process enhancements, and other assigned duties (e.g., system implementations, adoption of new GAAP standards, mergers, and acquisitions).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a blend of corporate accounting and consulting experience.
- CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Strong grasp of US GAAP and financial closing processes, along with experience in internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to tackle new projects, solve problems, and drive process improvements to ensure efficient and effective systems.
- Proficiency in modern cloud-based ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented and results-driven, with a commitment to client satisfaction.
- Must be comfortable with a hybrid work model, including onsite presence as required.
