Our client, a large telecommunications company in Atlanta, is looking for a Digital Copywriter/Content Strategist for a long-term contract. The role requires experience writing, developing, editing, and publishing web content that captivates audiences on both desktop and mobile platforms. In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping digital experience efforts by collaborating with various stakeholders, including business partners, content writers, user experience designers, software engineers, and vendors. Your creative vision and strategic insights will be instrumental in delivering compelling digital assets that engage users, drive brand loyalty, and achieve business goals.


This is a hybrid 40-hour/week contract and requires 3-days/week onsite in Atlanta.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute content strategies that align with overall business objectives and enhance the digital user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute content ideas that align with design and technical capabilities
  • Write, edit, curate content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines, ensuring a seamless and unified voice across all digital channels
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of content calendars, ensuring timely publication and regular updates to keep content fresh and relevant
  • Conduct content audits and performance analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize content for better user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Utilize SEO best practices to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings, staying current with industry trends and evolving digital marketing strategies
  • Work closely with content writers to provide guidance, feedback, and support to elevate the quality and effectiveness of their work
  • Collaborate with user experience designers to create intuitive information architectures and ensure content aligns with user needs and preferences
  • Liaise with software engineers and vendors to integrate content management systems and optimize the delivery of digital content across various platforms
  • Monitor content performance metrics and produce regular reports to showcase the impact of content efforts on business KPIs


Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience as a digital copywriter or similar role in a digital marketing or web development environment
  • A portfolio that shows strong samples of digital writing and content strategy
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing content strategies that enhance user experiences and achieve business goals
  • Strong understanding of content management systems, SEO principles, and digital marketing analytics
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with an eye for detail and a dedication to maintaining brand consistency
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams and managing projects with a goal-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of web design principles, user experience best practices, and responsive web development
  • Proficiency in using content creation and collaboration tools such as CMS platforms, project management software, and analytics tools.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and willingness to embrace innovation and change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
