SIFP, as an operating company within FCTG, has roots that go back 40 years. We are well established in Nashua, NH as an industry leader in the import and distribution of forest products serving a variety of markets including industrial, construction, and building materials.


Position Summary:


The import/export inventory coordinator will be responsible for tracking and maintaining all aspects of import and export activity at SIFP. This includes working with traders, operations staff and external business partners ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date on departures, delays, and arrivals, as well as efficiently processing orders in our ERP system.


Specific activities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Utilize excel to manage the departures and arrivals of Import/Export orders and ensuring these reports are in alignment with our inventory system (AS400)
  • Receive inventory into AS400 at the appropriate cost
  • Manage inventory and apply any cost that occurs after product has been received
  • Maintain inbound and outbound order numbers with appropriate products (with assistance from Trader Assistant and Traders)
  • Daily order status communications with traders
  • Partner with warehouse(s) to retrieve containers from port after they have cleared customs.
  • Notify traders when material is ready at the warehouse for truck dispatch to their customer(s)
  • Ship inventory out of the system and partner with invoicing team to ensure orders are complete
  • Provide weekly reporting of all in-transit orders for SIFP leadership as well as internal stakeholders
  • Help vendors/customers/traders resolve issues in an efficient and timely manner


Knowledge/Skills/Personality:


  • Experience with imports/exports preferred, however not required
  • Ability to remain detail oriented while operating in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude, as well as a desire and aptitude for learning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proficiency using outlook or a similar communication method
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative team approach to problem solving
