Role Description
Team Principal: Autonomous Drone Racing (Remote)
This is a full-time, remote role that puts you at the helm of our newest venture: autonomous drone racing. As the Team Principal, you’ll be steering the vision and operations of the drone racing team from start to finish, ensuring strategic alignment and day-to-day efficiency. You’ll lead a team of elite engineers and AI specialists, fostering a culture of innovation while navigating the technical and competitive landscape of autonomous racing. If you’ve got a passion for drones, AI, and next-gen tech, we want you piloting this journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the autonomous drone racing team’s daily operations, ensuring seamless execution on and off the race circuit.
- Drive the strategic vision for the drone racing team, setting clear goals and milestones for innovation, performance, and competition.
- Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team of engineers, AI developers, and drone specialists, fostering collaboration and creativity.
- Lead the development and implementation of AI algorithms and autonomous systems tailored for high-speed drone racing.
- Coordinate with sponsors, stakeholders, and external partners to elevate the team’s presence in the drone racing world.
- Monitor industry trends and breakthroughs in AI and drone technology, ensuring the team stays ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in autonomous systems technology and drone racing, with a solid understanding of AI and its applications.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of driving high-performance teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong strategic thinking, capable of long-term planning while adapting to rapidly evolving tech and competitive landscapes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working remotely across global teams.
- Passion for pushing the boundaries of technology in racing and a desire to lead at the intersection of AI, drones, and innovation.
