This startup is developing fully integrated solutions from cutting-edge silicon to comprehensive systems, incorporating hardware and software to process the largest AI workloads.

They are seeking a dynamic individual to assume overall responsibility for designing and delivering boards and state-of-the-art systems equipped with hundreds or even thousands of high-power chips and an extensive array of high-speed signals, both on-board and off.


Job Description: Hardware Systems Lead


Responsibilities:

  • Engaging in collaboration with other engineering teams to define system architecture.
  • Partnering closely with the chip design team to strategize on packaging and pinout, emphasizing breakout of high-speed signals and delivery of high-power.
  • Working alongside fellow engineers to integrate Design for Test (DFT) and Characterization features and coordinating planning efforts.
  • Selecting suppliers, including a Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partner, and overseeing relationships with them.
  • Recruiting and supervising specialized employees and contractors.
  • Defining and overseeing thermal management, power delivery, signal integrity, and PCB aspects of the design.
  • Contributing to the definition of system, chip, and software architecture in collaboration with chip, software, and product teams.


Requirements:

  • Expertise in thermal engineering, power delivery, signal integrity, and PCB design.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design of high-performance data center scale systems consuming over 3kw/h
  • Track record in managing supplier relationships and external development partners.
