Director Solutions Sales

CEI currently has an opening for a DevOps Solutions Sales Director to drive new business development in our DevOps practice group focused on adoption and transformation services. CEI has been nationally recognized as a leading consultancy in the DevOps & ALM community since 2004.
CEI’s DevOps partner ecosystem credentials include GitHub Advanced Partner, FastTrack, GitFast credentials as well as an Azure DevOps Preferred Partner.
Responsibilities:
- Work intimately within GitHub DevOps sales teams supporting their seller community as the “go to” partner for mid to large sized adoption engagements.
- Participate in GitHub and CEI marketing demand generation events.
- Identify & develop effective relationships with key client contacts in new and existing CEI clients to define strategic objectives and position CEI’s DevOps Practice to help clients achieve IT and business outcomes.
- Manage and execute the entire sales process, from lead generation through close, working closely our DevOps practice leadership and SME’s in a team sales approach.
- Develops client-specific strategies aimed at achieving revenue, gross profit and other financial targets.
- Establishes and maintains a network of industry contacts through participation in professional/trade associations and other professional networking organizations.
- Negotiates new client contracts, renewals, extensions and amendments.
- Leads and manages customer engagement opportunities from lead generation, to deal review, to negotiations and closing a deal.
- An Eastern US candidate is preferred. Some travel (20%) will be required.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Consulting and services sales in the application development, infrastructure or cloud (AWS, Google or Azure, Docker, GitLab, Veracode, etc.. ) space.
- A background of intimately representing your employer within a Technology Partner’s ecosystem (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, Hashicorp, Microsoft, AWS or Google etc..).
- A basic understanding of the value of agile methodologies and how technology supports it.
- The ability to evangelize value add service offerings to a Technology Partner, building relationships with their sales organizations to jointly go to market.
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue objectives in complex solutions environment at Fortune 1000 and Mid-Market clients.
- Experience with structured sales methodologies in a team selling environment working with alliance and delivery leaders to lead full life cycle sales pursuits
- Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills.
- Ideal candidate will have the ability to manage Executive level relationships (CIO's, Senior level Directors & VP's).
- Excellent collaboration and team-building skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Education
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline or business required.
