What you'll do:

  • Capture and analyze application data from customers.
  • Understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to solve problems.
  • Participate in the simultaneous engineering process with customers.
  • Identify and manage project scope and potential risks (delays, cost overruns, quality issues).
  • Create and track design plans and deliverables.
  • Edit and modify machine and plant layouts as needed.
  • Coordinate with design teams, including those overseas.

What you'll need:

  • Ability to read and understand equipment and plant layouts.
  • Proficiency in analyzing tolerance and tolerance stack-ups.
  • Good knowledge of tools and fixtures used in manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of automation control systems.
  • Experience with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Risk Analysis.
  • Sound judgment regarding the cost of engineering components and choices.
