We're looking for a Design Project Manager who enjoys working in a team to work on custom assembly projects from concept to manufacturing & install.
What you'll do:
- Capture and analyze application data from customers.
- Understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to solve problems.
- Participate in the simultaneous engineering process with customers.
- Identify and manage project scope and potential risks (delays, cost overruns, quality issues).
- Create and track design plans and deliverables.
- Edit and modify machine and plant layouts as needed.
- Coordinate with design teams, including those overseas.
What you'll need:
- Ability to read and understand equipment and plant layouts.
- Proficiency in analyzing tolerance and tolerance stack-ups.
- Good knowledge of tools and fixtures used in manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of automation control systems.
- Experience with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Risk Analysis.
- Sound judgment regarding the cost of engineering components and choices.
