Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Water Discipline

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Water Discipline team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for hydropower and water control facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for hydropower and water control facilities
  • Manage projects for the repair and/or upgrade or replacement of hydroelectric turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems
  • Lead or assist in the design effort for upgrade/replacement of hydroelectric auxiliary mechanical systems
  • Lead or assist in the design effort for gate operating equipment on or near the water (locks, dams, water control gates, moorings, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with emphasis on rotating equipment and auxiliary mechanical systems preferred
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, generators)
  • Knowledge in the design of auxiliary mechanical systems (cooling water, lube oil, compressed air, HVAC)
