Project Architect Job Description

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join our team in Albany, NY; Rochester, NY or Buffalo, NY office. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing project activities, ensuring the success of projects under your management, and serving as the primary design liaison to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee project activities, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Assist in the growth and development of Colliers Engineering & Design's architectural presence in the Lower Hudson, Mid Hudson, and Capital Region.
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, including design, construction, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to deliver projects that meet client needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience as a mid to senior-level architect.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture or equivalent work experience.
  • Architecture Licensure (NY) required; NJ & CT a plus.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, technical knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor team members and lead by example.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
