SUMMARY:
The 2nd Shift Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the 2nd shift operations in our manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production goals are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The Production Manager will lead a team of supervisors, operators, and additional supporting staff to achieve operational excellence. The standard work schedule is Monday through Thursday, with a minimum expectation of a 45-hour work week. The role may require work outside scheduled hours to accommodate project deadlines and operational needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Oversee all production activities on the 2nd shift, ensuring timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and additional direct reports.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Manage daily/monthly production goal setting and operational attainment.
• Strategically identify CAPEX for machinery to match production plan.
• Track and control unit COG’s in alignment with business plan.
• Generate/Manage SOPs to govern Pharmaceutical Operation.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to HR, manufacturing, environmental health, and safety procedures.
• Utilize operational excellence tools such as 6-sigma, 5-S, etc. to develop industry class operation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and other communication for senior management.
• Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure adequate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and issue corrective action as needed.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
