About Our Client: Addison Group is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Specialist for our client, a leading nonprofit organization.

Job Description: The Volunteer Specialist will focus on enhancing volunteer engagement through community outreach, program planning, and maintaining corporate partnerships. This role involves utilizing CRM tools, primarily Salesforce, to manage volunteer data and support the development of volunteer programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and connect with potential volunteer sources such as schools, civic organizations, and businesses.
  • Update and maintain the volunteer database, including contacting volunteers for information updates.
  • Collaborate with IT for database enhancements and report generation.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials and volunteer toolkits in partnership with the Marketing/Communications team.
  • Develop and update training materials and videos for various programs.
  • Conduct cold outreach to potential volunteers and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in nonprofit, volunteer engagement, community or alumni relations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage outreach efforts.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Details:

  • Start Date: Within the next two weeks.
  • Contract Length: Approximately 6 months, with potential for extension.
  • Hours: 9am-5pm CST, with a 1-hour lunch break, totaling a 35-hour work week.
