Qualifications:


  • Responsible for expanding the Coastal Processes Branch (CPB), and the Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) expertise in the field of numerical modeling of waves and other nearshore hydrodynamic phenomena.
  • Apply nearshore processes hydrodynamic numerical models to simulate the interaction of waves and currents in support of coastal storm risk management research and applications, including natural and nature-based features.
  • Write technical reports and journal articles to disseminate knowledge gained through Corps of Engineer projects.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and scientists in the execution of research and reimbursable projects.
  • Determine existing and future potential coastal engineering and navigation research needs.
  • Foster collaboration between the Engineer and Research Development Center and academia.
  • Write proposals and other documents to obtain research and reimbursable funds.
  • Assemble and organize data in narrative form for presentation and publications.
  • Deliver research products (reports, software, analyses, and databases).
  • US citizenship is required.
