Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our team to help franchisees open new units. This pivotal role involves guiding and supporting franchisees through the development process, from initial design concepts to the completion of construction and launch day. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional project management skills, a keen eye for design, strong communication abilities, and a passion for creating engaging spaces that positively impact the lives of young learners.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Franchisee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact and support for new franchisees as they embark on the journey of developing their youth enrichment units. Provide guidance, resources, and assistance throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Design Collaboration: Work closely with architects, designers, and other stakeholders to develop design concepts that align with the brand's standards and create a welcoming, engaging environment.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for each franchisee's unit development. Ensure alignment with corporate objectives, quality standards, and local regulations.
  • Contractor Management: Identify and manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in the construction process. Solicit bids, and oversee the work to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all aspects of design and construction adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Obtain necessary permits and approvals as required.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets closely, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to approved financial plans. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication channels between franchisees, corporate teams, and external stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any potential issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that the completed youth enrichment units meet the brand's standards for aesthetics, functionality, and safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including design plans, construction schedules, budgets, change orders, and communication records.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Communication, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in commercial construction and development.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from conception to completion, including design and construction phases.
  • A strong understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with franchisees, contractors, and corporate teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Passion for youth enrichment and education is a plus.
