Position Summary:
The Field Operations Coordinator performs a variety of administrative and operational tasks working closely with the Executive Director of Field Operations. The Field Operations team works with county Farm Bureaus and their volunteers to promote agriculture and educate communities about agricultural practices and issues. Incumbent must be able to demonstrate good organizational skills to promote Indiana Farm Bureau and the ability to lead assigned key initiatives.
Minimum Knowledge and Job Requirements:
Field Operations Coordinator requires:
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree equivalent required (Agricultural degrees beneficial, but not exclusive); 2 to 3 years related work experience preferred. Prior experience working in agriculture is a plus.
· Work closely with the Field Operations team providing operational support on administrative, budgeting, reporting, membership, procedures, polices and operational systems.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills to work with regional managers and assist with multiple events and activities.
· Ability to provide information, direction, and guidance to county volunteers.
· Ability to work independently without direct supervision, ability to set own priorities; exercise initiative and judgment in making decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
· Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of members and constitutes by establishing and maintaining effective relationships and gaining trust and respect.
· Effective presentation style in a variety of settings both internally and externally.
· Be a problem solver and assist others to address issues.
· Able to work a flexible schedule, including irregular hours, to attend INFB-related functions.
· Able to work in office and around the state with county Farm Bureau’s.
Physical Requirements and Reasonable Accommodations:
Position requires a valid driver’s license and physical mobility for effective job function while conducting INFB business including locations such as county fairs, farms, and member homes. May occasionally require the ability to lift 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
