Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead our HES Harmonization Project. This pivotal role will focus on aligning and standardizing our HES business practices across our customer journey. This scope covers internal order to cash, customer service and customer experience. The goal is to ensure operational excellence by removing wastes and complexity, to leverage the scale of Hubbell vs. many individual brands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, change management and operational understanding of Hubbell (process, structure, systems).

The successful candidate must be a proactive self-starter, capable of asking thorough questions, while also maintaining the ability to oversee the program at a high level and manage its governance. They need to drive clarity through this complex process, identify potential risks, and devise appropriate mitigation strategies. The harmonization changes will have a profound impact on both the end customer and across Hubbell, making it essential for the candidate to handle the program‘s intensity and sensitivity adeptly. The ideal Project Manager will be adept at adjusting their communication styles to effectively engage with various team levels affected by the program

A Day In The Life
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan to harmonize practices across various departments and locations within HES.
  • Collaborate with HES teams, operational leaders, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are understood and met.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.
  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the project.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Facilitate communication and training sessions to ensure all employees are informed and competent in new practices.
  • Ensure project communication plans keep stakeholders informed and that they are receiving critical information at the right intervals.
  • Support transition of projects from project team to organization to ensure changes in roles and responsibilities are defined and supported.
  • Enable team efficiency by facilitating collaborative knowledge transfer and best practices across project teams.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor‘s degree in business management, project management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years‘ experience in Program Management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate effectively
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
