With its core commercial team in place, Fosun USA is building its commercial presence in the US market. The company is building its pipeline with late development stage (phase 2 and beyond) or commercial stage innovative products for the US market, primarily. While Fosun USA can facilitate a partnership with Fosun HQ for the Chinese market, the focus is on US rights for innovative biopharmaceutical products.


Fosun aspires to become a leader in specialty generics, 505b2, a branded pharmaceutical company, by developing cutting-edge, innovative products focusing on therapeutic areas such as oncology, auto-immune, CNS, etc. Pipeline expansion through internal R&D development, business development/licensing with a focus on the high barrier, complex, innovative 505b(2), including incubator of early-stage exploratory 505b(1) product with cutting edge technology, and asset acquisition in select therapeutic areas.


We are looking for an Associate Director, Finance Business Partner to join our growing team. The position will be closely aligned with our business units to create a real and active partnership with both Operations and Finance management.


The candidate will assist in Budgeting/Forecasting along with Month end support activities for the Business Unit. This role will be responsible for generating business insights and analyses along with facilitating the budgeting and forecasting processes for the assigned Business Unit. He/she will work collaboratively with Senior Leadership stakeholders and team members across multiple disciplines such as Accounting, Finance among others. The successful candidate must be a business partner with a solid understanding of the company’s business model, strategy and operations and be able to identify the key drivers of value and risk to provide relevant insights to support decision making. The incumbent must have sound analytical skills, with a strategic mindset and be able to communicate effectively and present complex financial information in a clear, concise manner.


Responsibilities:


  • Work effectively and develop strong partnership with the business to understand and drive accurate and timely resource allocation plan, budget forecasting, financials measurement tracking and month or quarter-end closing.
  • Be very commercial savvy and understand the new product launch process and identify key financial enablers to support the business with reasonable resource planning and decision.
  • Work closely with commercial, BD and HQ in China to support to shape and develop the business collaboration model with internal and external stakeholders and achieve sustainable and long-term growth for the organization.
  • Analyze business reports and financial data, understand US tax regulations, GAAP and IFRS.
  • Use data leveraging MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial/reporting systems to drive transparency in reporting and working with business leaders to understand spend and drive efficiencies.
  • Support the Budget/forecasting and LCM process through managing communications and keeping forecast up to date.
  • Support cross functions, act as a liaison among different departments, if needed
  • Analyze reports, company KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and makes recommendations based on those results.
  • Other ad-hoc analysis, department financial planning or business planning tasks/projects as required


Requirements:


  • Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics, MBA and/or valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in various finance functions
  • 10+ years of Finance experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Healthcare industry, Pharma strongly preferred
  • Passionate about business excellence and continuous improvement in a cost-effective environment
  • Business savvy, highly self-motivated, diligent, superb follow up skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Ability to generate ad-hoc management analyses that support business decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication
  • Possesses strategic thinking
  • Has passion for learning and works well in a highly collaborative environment
  • Bilingual is preferred (English and Mandarin), but not required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Candidates must be within the tri-state area or commutable distance to Princeton, NJ
