Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing manufacturing operations, driving process improvements, and leading cross-functional teams. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing processes to ensure optimal efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality and safety.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets.
- Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, engineering, and sales, to support product development and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage and mentor a team of operations managers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify and implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
- Lead initiatives to enhance supply chain management, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior operations management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive change initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant software tools.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
