Summary

We’re seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide both onsite and remote IT support for our client's user base locally in Des Moines and to remote users. This role will be onsite in West Des Moines, IA.


Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of IT in our Des Moines location. You’ll own keeping the client group productive and happy.
  • Ensure that physical technology in the office works well (e.g., Zoom rooms, Wi-Fi, badge readers, cameras, etc.).
  • Oversee the suite of collaboration tools and ensure the users have great experiences using the tools offered.
  • Work to improve the procurement and asset management practices for hardware and software.
  • Manage the physical inventory of computer assets, ensuring equipment is tracked efficiently and securely.
  • Work with the broader IT team to provide training, documentation, and learning opportunities.
  • Work with Finance and CIO to manage budgets and costs for IT spend.


Technical Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in the industry providing onsite IT desktop support
  • Experience providing technical support to users in remote and in-office environments
  • Good experience with modern cloud productivity solutions: Google Workspace, Slack, JIRA, Confluence
  • Ability to explain hardware issues, hardware configurations, and BIOS configurations
  • Experience running technical trainings for user groups, including onboarding for new users
  • Background with leading MDM platforms, including JAMF and Intune
  • Strong with Mac systems, including user troubleshooting


Functional Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and a well-organized self-starter
  • Good problem-solving skills, especially related to laptop and desktop/side hardware
  • Ability to take ownership of issues that arise from various hardware and software problems



Compensation:

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr and is a Non-Exempt role. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
