YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS PROJECT MANAGER:

* Participate in conceptual project proposal and execution, working with Business Development, project planners, front-end design team, and project managers to provide design concepts, layouts, and equipment sizing.

* Communicate with clients to clarify and satisfy unique or complex requirements.

* Stay current with applicable technologies, standards, products, and regulations to maintain direct knowledge of relevant design codes related to concrete and steel structural design.

* Collaborate with project management team, mentoring Professional Engineer, and other engineers and designers to prepare detailed design drawings and reports in line with client requirements.

* Work with team to develop drawings and promote high-quality high value products under the mentorship and direction of a professional engineer.

* Assist in creation of drawings, prepared under direction of supervising engineer.

* Assist field staff and installation crews with designs and challenges encountered.

* Visit job sites to inspect work and ensure projects align with approved designs.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A PROJECT MANAGER:

* B.Sc. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited University

* Registered as an EIT in the province of practice

* Demonstrated design engineering experience within construction industry is preferred; experience in industrial process facilities is an asset

* Proficiency with Word, Excel, MathCad, and various analysis programs

* A practical yet creative approach to problem solving; open-minded with a willingness to consider new ideas; customer-focused, creative problem solving

* Good interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills

* Adaptable and receptive to constructive criticism and project challenges

* High degree of accuracy; able to manage multiple details under tight deadlines

* Honesty and integrity in all business interactions
