***This is a remote 10-month contract position that takes place in Dover, DE***


What You Will Be Doing

  • Highly skilled at data/database conversions including data mapping, extract, transformation and load (ETL) of data following technical specifications documents and in accordance with State of Delaware policies
  • Experience and knowledge in supporting application system development life cycle
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining data models, data warehouses, data dictionaries/codebooks and data integration processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data-related issues
  • Expertise in iterative troubleshooting of errors and data cleaning issues
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all data handling activities
  • Knowledgeable in data analysis and database management techniques
  • Assist in coordinating software releases


Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 or more years of experience in database administration, including at least 2 years at a Database Administrator 2 level or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in writing and optimizing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries, and using .NET, C#, or other programming languages for data manipulation.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools for data conversion projects
  • Extensive experience managing and maintaining SQL Server, MySQL, or other database management systems
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
