THIS ROLE IS CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION BASED, MUST HAVE YEARS OF EXP IN CONSTRUCTION


Purpose: Complete hotel, multi-unit housing (senior and student) and big box store renovations on time and on budget by planning, organizing and managing the team, the project and the client.


Travel: Our projects range from coast to coast. You must be ok with extensive travel 20-35% of the time and comfortable flying. Company credit card provided for applicable expenses along with per diems.


Knowledge/Experience: General construction knowledge is required. Familiarity with painting, flooring, VWC, drywall, countertops, suspended ceilings, FFE, windows, tuckpointing, sealants, scaffolding, and staging. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, EIFS and HVAC is preferred.


General Duties: Build and lead a team to renovate existing properties on time and on budget. Hire, manage and supervise sub-contractors. Solicit bids from subs, build proposals, create work orders and timely change orders. Build and execute construction schedules, establish and monitor quality standards on behalf of client.


Manage construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; compiling subcontractor payroll, identifying variances, evaluating, and negotiating change orders.

Maintain and build relationships with client by providing competitive and accurate bids, delivering great service and innovative solutions.


Essential Skills/Functions:

•Minimum of 5-7 years of direct Project Management, quality control, purchasing, supervision of people, managing profitability, delegation, supply (inventory) management, attention to detail.


•Take full accountability for anything and everything related to projects including the budget. 


•Must demonstrate ability to lead a team in a positive manner to full sign-off and close out of all projects.


•High technical ability with Excel spreadsheets, estimating apps such as Bluebeam, Stack, Procore a plus. Skilled with progress reporting, forecasting, scheduling, showing others what you need from them to succeed as a team.


•Computer and phone use daily and frequent.


•Valid driver’s license for rentals.


•Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, physically inspect work quality by bending, stretching.


•Clear understanding of blueprints, plan drawings.


•Negotiating skills and comfortable asking for the next project.


•Regular and prompt attendance either in the office or on the project site.
