We are hiring a Digital Merchandising & Content Specialist to join our Gemline family in Lawrence, MA. As the Digital Merchandising & Content Specialist, you will ensure best practices for website merchandising and content management, as well as assist with email deployment. You will contribute to the digital strategy and be responsible for the execution of a best-in-class storytelling experience across our digital channels (web and email). This position reports to the Website & Email Marketing Manager and works cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, Product Management agency partners and others. This is a hybrid role.


Key Responsibilities:


·        Taking direction from the manager, implement the merchandising strategy for the website including categorization, content management, and campaign execution.

·        Ensure adherence of content to brand and style guidelines.

·        Contribute to the teams’ overall digital marketing strategy including identifying needs and proposing solutions.

·        Support the manager with email marketing campaigns.

 

Website

·        Ensure online product catalog is accurate by maintaining product descriptions, specifications, digital assets, and categorizations

·        Own the CMS system, Salsify, ensuring it is the source of truth for all product content

o  Upload and manage product information for all product launches

·        Coordinate with marketing to execute campaigns and seasonal launches

·        Develop and maintain content pages, working with marketing for imagery and copy

·        Implement tactical SEO improvements across gemline.com and gemline.ca

·        Continually audit the website content to ensure content accuracy and suggest improvements

·        Monitor website performance to gain insights to refine the strategy

·        Ensure partner websites are accurate and reflect pricing, promotion, or creative updates

·        Monitor competitive websites to ensure we are staying ahead of merchandising trends


Email Marketing

·        Support the manager with email marketing campaigns as needed, including deployment, proofing and analysis

·        Manage the email content calendar

Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience
  • 2+ years of working with Salesforce or other CRM/ERP tools
  • Working knowledge of content management systems. Prior experience with Salsify a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • General understanding of SEO
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
  • Takes ownership, meets deadlines, and shows a willingness and aptitude to learn new skills
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude who is also a team player
  • Experience with Salesforce B2B a plus
  • Experience with HTML a plus
  • Experience with basic analytics a plus
