SUMMARY

The Lead Technology Instructor’s role is to provide quality end user support for technology, learning and collaborative technologies, and classroom and conferencing technology within the child and family services division with a high degree of customer satisfaction, technical expertise, and timeliness. This position will be an additional point of contact and liaison for the IT Managed Services Provider, phone systems service provider, and other technology related vendors.


PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Provide end user support for technology, learning and collaborative technologies, and classroom and conferencing technology.
  • Serve as a level of problem escalation for teaching and learning tools.
  • Assist faculty with designing and developing education materials by matching learning outcomes and teaching strategies with technology solutions.
  • Help develop and implement faculty and staff training, consulting, and related support for instructional technologies.
  • Provide application support to end users with assistance from the MSP’s helpdesk. Key applications include Microsoft Office, Power BI, SharePoint
  • Interface with vendors and provide project coordination for technology related projects/issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager, vCIO and SVDP Head of IT on organizational technology needs and planning.
  • Maintain Early Head Start/ Head Start Instructional IT and IT Hardware inventory in Asset Panda


SECONDARY DUTIES

  • Collaborate closely with SVDP’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) to address issues in a timely and professional manner. The MSP’s helpdesk will attempt to resolve as many issues as possible, escalating items that require hands on action to the internal SVDP IT Department.
  • Evaluate issue resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Conduct research to evaluate the use of new technologies and their impact on student learning outcomes. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify, analyze, explore, and meet the organizations teaching and learning technology needs.
  • Support Audio Video equipment and organization wide conference facilities
  • Upholds the vision, mission, and values of St. Vincent de Paul.
  • Participate in regular meetings.
  • Assist with and attends special events held by St. Vincent de Paul.
  • Attend, and, as necessary represents St. Vincent de Paul in, external meetings and events.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years Information Systems, Technology, Educational Technology or related experience, required.
  • Associate’s Degree with 4 years of Information Systems, Technology, Educational Technology or related experience, will be considered.
  • Technical competencies include specialized skills in the use of Windows OS 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite productivity programs, troubleshooting techniques.
  • Certifications from organizations such as Microsoft or CompTIA are desired but not required.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 (Professional & Enterprise) and tablet MDM.
  • Extensive application support experience MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities, computer networking, design, and security.
  • Working Knowledge of Educational tools and platforms for EHS/ HS
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
