We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Masonry Instructor to join our team at the Baltimore City Public School System. As a Masonry Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the construction trades industry, with a focus on masonry.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction: Develop and implement lesson plans to teach students the principles and practices of masonry, including bricklaying, blocklaying, and stonework.
- Student Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student progress and evaluate their understanding of masonry concepts and techniques.
- Classroom Management: Manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space for students.
- Program Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement career and technology education programs in masonry.
- Industry Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners to provide students with opportunities for work-based learning and career advancement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Career and Technology Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Three to five years of experience in the construction trades industry, with a focus on masonry.
- Certifications: Possession of or eligibility for NCCER instructor certification and Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP) certification.
- Teaching Experience: Experience teaching in a career and technology education program, preferably in masonry.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in the construction trades industry, with a focus on masonry.
