POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager is responsible for ensuring achievement of revenue

objectives for the assigned territory (Southwest Suburbs of Chicago). This position is

focused on generating client referrals by visiting hospitals, rehabilitation facilities,

physicians offices, home health agencies, etc. This position is responsible for reporting

results in moving relationships forward to the General Manager on a weekly basis,

discussing successes and opportunities, and demonstrating documented progress and

inquiry production in Sales, Marketing, and Networking areas.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for researching and developing referral provider relationships and producing referrals.
  • Performs all phases of the sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, evaluating the referral source and client needs, recommendation of appropriate services and additional community resources, maintaining and nurturing existing referral accounts, including follow-up, as necessary.
  • Achieve inquiry generation objectives for assigned territory (Southwest Suburbs of Chicago) with the primary goal of bringing in new business to increase overall market share.
  • Develop sales and marketing plans, detailing weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals with the leadership team.
  • Effectively presents marketing materials and services to referral providers, including meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
  • Develop a database in Salesforce of qualified leads from referrals through face-to-face cold calling on referral providers, email, telephone and Web.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers.
  • Have working knowledge of, and comply with, all of the company’s standards, Illinois Department of Health regulations, HIPPA, DOL, EEOC and any other applicable laws.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years related sales experience and/or equivalent combination of education and sales experience; Strong preference for experience in a healthcare or senior care environment (consultative sales a plus).
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare or senior care industry is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
  • Have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision- making.
  • Demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
