Serena & Lily is seeking a Vice President of our Distribution Center in Rincon, GA. The VP of the Georgia Distribution Center is a key leadership role within the Serena & Lily organization reporting into the Senior Vice President, DC Operations. This role is responsible for creating goals for shipping and receiving, and for managing and optimizing the staff at the Distribution Center to meet or beat these goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable the Distribution center to meet and exceed customer expectations both internally and externally.
  • Empower management team to prioritize daily work, manage appropriate resources and create flexible staffing model that allows the DC to meet or exceed daily inbound and outbound goals.
  • Work with Human Resources to select, motivate, and train qualified supervisory staff where applicable.
  • Work cross functionally with Serena & Lily leadership to solve problems and provide best in class customer experience.
  • Responsible for the overall safety, quality control of inventory, and customer experience related to product output.
  • Work closely with Serena & Lily IT and any third party relevant vendors, to optimize warehouse management system and help to deploy automation solutions to streamline Distribution operations.
  • Work with the Transportation and Logistics function to manage inbound receipt of inventory and optimize outbound shipping expenses
  • Partner with GDC Human Resources Manager in optimizing work force, , including an appropriate mix of permanent and temporary labor resources.
  • Work with staff to design processes and standards of the Distribution Center and ensure there is tracking and monitoring of compliance to any policies that exist in the building. .
  • Ensure validity of all permits, certifications, and OSHA requirements. Coordinate and maintain all necessary training to meet requirements.
  • Oversee all administrative operational/warehouse maintenance plans and costs including forklifts and other equipment maintenance, janitorial services, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years managing a similar or larger sized retail distribution center, ideally familiar with a Direct to Consumer business.
  • Experience with complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design. Six Sigma certification a plus.
  • Strong process, manufacturing, or engineering background with an ability to understand work flow and throughput in the operation.
  • Able to work collaboratively across functions and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan. Able to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company.
  • Able to hit the ground running - a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects to delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Strong communications skills (both oral and written)

Compensation:

  • $175-210K per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills.
  • Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily’s benefits. Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue fourteen days of PTO and six paid holidays throughout the year.
