Job Overview: Sol-Millennium is seeking a Product Manager to join our growing Blood Collection and Diagnostics team. This BU has significant projected growth and numerous opportunities to expand our market presence. You will be accountable for driving revenue growth and enhancing gross profit. This role includes ownership of planning, budgeting, pricing, and launch processes. You will work closely with regional sales teams, marketing leaders, and cross-functional colleagues in QARA, supply chain, R&D, and finance. Your insights and data-driven decisions will support strategic choices on product portfolio, pricing, distribution and channel management, promotion, and product roadmaps.


This role is located at our global HQ in downtown Chicago and operates on a hybrid schedule.


Responsibilities:


Lead Product Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies and annual marketing plans.
  • Monitor competition and competitive product development, keeping local marketing and sales teams informed of market dynamics.


Manage New Product Launches:

  • Plan and implement launch activities for new products, considering all elements of the current market landscape.
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing and sales team to provide guidance on product positioning, pricing, and distribution tactics, and competitive features
  • Work closely with regulatory teams and agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Understand customer needs, and provide ‘voice of customer’ feedback to the upstream R&D team to ensure constant product improvement.


Collaboration and Training:

  • Travel to various healthcare facilities to train nurses on the clinical features and applications of our blood collection products.
  • Train our sales team on the features and benefits of the blood collection devices, and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop training materials for the sales team to ensure they have the resources they need to be successful selling.


Financial Responsibility:

  • Ensure the health of the P&L by managing product cost, pricing, and profitability.


Data and Insight Management:

  • Provide essential competitive, market, and customer information to support strategic decisions on product portfolio, pricing, and distribution.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, medicine, engineering, marketing, or business administration.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing and product management in the medical device space.
  • Experience with both upstream and downstream marketing, focusing on building product portfolios at planned costs of goods, capacity, and pricing requirements.
  • Proven track record in building a multi-product category or group, including developing and launching new products.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing solid business relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standard software programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in expanding market access.
  • Willingness to travel, up to 30% of the time.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CRM systems (such as Salesforce).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
