Location: Mobile, AL area


Summary:

This role will oversee the daily production and delivery of our world-class products manufactured in our Mobile, AL facilities. This person will have ~5 Production Supervisors reporting into them and will be responsible for the day shift and a small night shift with 1 production supervisor. Must have heavy fabrication manufacturing experience.


Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily direction to the supervisor team and collaborate to remove obstacles causing production delays.
  • Partner with other departments and shifts to coordinate raw materials, parts, assemblies, and completed units.
  • Work with engineering teams on critical component reliability and product specifications to achieve strategic goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the production scheduler to minimize production delays.
  • Promote a safe work environment and champion safety practices and behaviors.
  • Partner with human resources to determine appropriate staffing levels, address performance issues, and onboard new employees.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow and processes on the production floor.
  • Managing and allocating production personnel to meet production goals / targets.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment. High mix / low volume type metal fabrication, assembly, welding, paint is most relevant but not mandatory.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a must.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of improving manufacturing performance.
  • Experience in training others in manufacturing concepts and activities.
