Senior AR Specialist - Tyson's Corner, VA

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior AR Specialist is responsible for managing the complete billing cycle and accounts receivable functions for the company, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and leading the billing team. This role involves preparing complex monthly professional service invoices, including both fixed fee and percentage completion as well as hourly-based billing. The Senior AR Specialist will lead monthly billing meetings with Project Managers, ensure all necessary information is procured in a timely manner, and issue accurate and complete invoices by the scheduled due dates. This role also involves tracking billing variances and write-offs, setting up billing terms per contract in the ERP system, and ensuring accurate recordation of client payments.



Additionally, the Senior AR Specialist will manage accounts receivable, including following up with clients for collections and resolving any related issues. The position requires expertise in accounting terminology, transaction codes, and billing and project cost tracking procedures in an ERP environment for the professional service industry. This job is Temp to Perm and onsite daily. Competitive pay



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE

  • S:Oversee the setup of project files, billing terms, and related information in Deltek Visio
  • n.Generate and distribute General Time Reports bi-weekly to Project Managers and perform labor transfers as directe
  • d.Prepare and review client billings using Deltek Vision and supporting reports and schedule
  • s.Generate final billing reports for Project Managers and managemen
  • t.Create and distribute monthly invoices to client
  • s.Collaborate with Project Managers and external clients on contract billing matter
  • s.Analyze and enter subcontractor/consultant invoices in Deltek Vision per agreement
  • s.Ensure accurate recordation of client payments to the correct project
  • s.Manage month-end close and revenue generation in the billing modul
  • e.Track resource utilization in Deltek Vision and ensure accurate documentatio
  • n.Train Project Managers on Deltek Vision procedure
  • s.Prepare special project accounting reports as neede
  • d.Address internal and external billing inquiries and review aging receivables for resolutio
  • n.Monitor receivables reports and escalate issues to prevent billing delays and past-due account
  • s.Submit invoices to third-party payment processing platforms and resolve related issue
  • s.Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accurac
  • y.Support system enhancements and implementation testin
  • g.Assist with yearly audit requests by providing supporting documentatio
  • n.Serve as the subject matter expert in the project billing process and guide business partner
  • s.Handle ad hoc requests and additional duties as neede
