Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data platform to support the analytics engine accommodate growing data volumes and increasing complexity.
  • Design and implement data architecture strategies to consolidate data from various sources.
  • Design and implement real-time data streaming and processing solutions
  • Ensure high data quality and reliability through data validation, testing, and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Optimize and improve existing data systems for performance and scalability.
  • Implement data partitioning, indexing, and other optimization techniques to enhance query performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that drive business insights
  • Mentor offshore engineer team and provide technical guidance.
  • Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for ensuring proactive identification and resolution of issues to maintain high availability and performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience with a proven track record in in data engineering.
  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable data platforms.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., AWS Glue, Redshift, …).
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and their data services
  • Experience with Kafka or other streaming data technologies for building data pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architectural principles and patterns, and experience building and deploying data platform
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with machine learning and data science workflows
  • Certification in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, Google Professional Data Engineer).
