About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in Azure services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of overall experience in data architecture, with 5-6 years of focused expertise in Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps (ADO), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture & Strategy:
  • Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions that align with business needs and technological advancements.
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data pipelines that ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Define data management strategies and best practices, ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Azure Services Expertise:
  • Leverage Azure Databricks for big data processing, machine learning, and analytics workloads.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD pipeline integration, enabling seamless deployment and management of data solutions.
  • Implement data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory, orchestrating data movement and transformation across various sources.
  • Design and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), ensuring efficient data access and management.
  • Optimize and manage SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical applications.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and integrating them into the existing architecture where appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, driving efficiency and scalability in data operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10-12 years of overall experience in data architecture, data management, and related fields.
  • 5-6 years of hands-on experience with Azure services, specifically Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps (ADO), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2), and SQL Server.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture solutions in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with familiarity with Scrum or other Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI integration is advantageous.
