About the Position:
* Develop and implement engineering programs for career and professional development.
* Organize webinars and workshops focused on emerging optics and photonics technologies.
* Represent the organization in the scientific community to cultivate relationships and collaborations.
* Identify industry trends and evaluate needs for new products, services, and member benefits.
* Secure sponsorships, grants, and partnerships with Foundations, Federal Agencies, and private companies for STEM initiatives.
* Manage the org-wide Career Center, ensuring high-quality job postings and revenue generation through sponsorships and career fairs.
About You:
* A bachelor's degree is required.
* 5+ years of relevant experience in higher education career centers, membership organizations, or scientific societies.
* Experience in program development, marketing, membership, or career development is required.
* Skilled in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and key players.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required and experience with online CSM is preferred.
Position Information:
* $35/hr-$40/hr, while temporary.
* $75K-$85K, when permanent.
* Hybrid onsite for 2 days/week.
* Office located in Washington, DC.
* Metro accessible
* Approximately 10% travel annually.
