About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Literacy Program Specialist to join our team at Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys. As a key member of our instructional staff, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our students, particularly those with disabilities, English language learners, and struggling learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement literacy programs that are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and struggling learners.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver high-quality literacy instruction that meets the needs of all students.
  • Provide small group and one-on-one conferencing to support students' literacy development.
  • Coordinate curriculum programming to ensure that literacy instruction is aligned with state and national standards.
  • Support the development of teachers' literacy skills and knowledge through coaching and professional development.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in education or a related field.
  • Proven track record of creating high levels of academic growth in students with significant potential and limited experience of prior academic success.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, English language learners, and struggling learners.
  • Strong knowledge of literacy instruction and curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
