The role involves both technical and project management responsibilities, focusing on the design, installation, and support of audio-visual (AV) systems for booths, auditoriums, and similar environments.


Key Responsibilities:

AV System Design:


Handle both pre and post AV designs for various projects.

Use AutoCAD for creating design documents and system layouts.

Design systems that include commercial digital media, IT infrastructure, and AV control systems (e.g., AMX, Crestron, Media Matrix, Nion).

Field Testing and Deployment:


Participate in field testing, commissioning, and configuration of AV subsystems during project implementation.

Conduct travel as needed for field engineering, site supervision, and system commissioning.

Project Support: Support Account Managers by providing labor and material estimates for projects. Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other supporting project documents.


Client Communication & Project Management: Ensure projects run smoothly by communicating with clients and internal teams to meet expectations. Maintain project documentation to ensure clear records are kept. Use Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and ACT for managing projects.


Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work as part of a team with a positive attitude, addressing multiple tasks simultaneously. Collaborate with other engineers, managing draftsmen and fabricators to meet design requirements.


Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, exceeding client expectations by offering proactive solutions and creative suggestions.


Technical Skills and Certifications:

Proficient in AutoCAD for drafting.

Experience with AMX, Crestron, Media Matrix, Q-SYS, Extron, DANTE, Polycom, and other AV systems.

Certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, EASE, SMAART are a plus.


Desired Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in business applications like Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ACT.

The ability to multi-task and handle several projects at once.

Must be willing to travel for field testing, meetings, and on-site commissioning.


Key Traits:

Excellent communication skills to manage both internal teams and client interactions.

Organizational skills to manage documentation and project deliverables.

Ability to multi-task and provide continuous customer service while maintaining profitability.
