Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to lead our USA operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects, including P&L management, strategic planning, and team leadership. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the construction equipment industry, particularly within an OEM environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all operational functions, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • P&L Management: Oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the USA operations, ensuring financial targets are met and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with corporate goals, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, with significant time spent in an OEM environment.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams across multiple functions.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that drive operational excellence and business growth.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Customer Orientation: Commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
