TaliMar Financial is a leading hard money lender specializing in funding residential and commercial real estate Fix and Flip, Bridge, and New Construction Loans. TaliMar Financial is unique in which we manage our own mortgage fund, and there can provide fast, flexible, and aggressive lending solutions to real estate investors and mortgage brokers throughout California. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Loan Officers for the Orange County and Los Angeles market.


Opportunity:

While conventional and commercial loan volumes have plummeted, loan volumes in the hard money space have skyrocketed. The demand for short term capital for real estate investment opportunities continue to grow. In fact, we had our second highest year in loan originations last year and will double and are already on track to double that loan volume this year. If you are looking for a high paced, high volume industry, hard money is where you want to be. I won't say it will be easy, and it will require a lot of phone calls, networking events, and looking through a lot of loan requests, but if you stay focused and follow our sales process, you will be successful


Job Description:

As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating hard money loans within your specific market. Leveraging your experience in the hard money lending space, you will actively engage with real estate investors, mortgage brokers, and other industry professionals to identify lending opportunities and build lasting relationships. Individuals that already have a deep network of investors in the single family, multi-family, and commercial real estate investment industry will find the quickest success. This includes real estate investors, wholesalers, escrow / title reps, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers.


Responsibilities:

1. Originate and qualify leads for hard money loans through networking, prospecting, and relationship building.

2. Conduct thorough analysis of borrower's financials, property valuations, and loan structures to determine eligibility and risk.

3. Present loan proposals to prospective borrowers and guide them through the application and underwriting process.

4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications, documentation, and funding.

5. Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, regulations, and competitive landscape in the hard money lending industry.

6. Achieve and exceed sales targets and production goals while upholding the company's standards of integrity and customer service excellence.


Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with real estate investors in the residential and/or commercial investment market. Loan officers who demonstrate a strong track record of originating loans in the the hard money lending industry a HUGE PLUS.

2. Proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.

3. Strong network of contacts within the real estate investor and mortgage broker community

4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.

5. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to evaluate loan opportunities and mitigate risks effectively.

6. Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

7. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred.


Pay:

We offer a base salary plus commission (with no cap) and full benefits (health, 401k). Loan Officers will be classified as outside sales exempt employees and are paid a salary plus commission on the loans originated and closed.
