Job Description: Internal Training Manager


Position Overview:

The Internal Training Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the training programs for our security personnel. This role involves creating, organizing, scheduling, and conducting various training sessions, both in-office and on-site. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the security industry, particularly when dealing with ultra-high-net-worth clientele. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires the individual to be present in the office, except when conducting training at outside facilities.


The role has potential for growth into the Director of the Training Department.


Key Responsibilities:


Internal Training Division Leadership:

  • Develop and lead the Internal Training Division.
  • Build upon and enhance existing training materials and programs.


Training Development and Execution:

  • Create, organize, schedule, and conduct comprehensive training programs, including classroom instruction, scenario simulations, one-on-one training, and mentoring.
  • Lead one-day training sessions for newly hired agents, scheduled bi-weekly.
  • Conduct at least quarterly field training sessions tailored to each client’s layout and security assessment.


Continuous Training:

  • Schedule, organize, and lead continuous training classes for BBX agents of all levels.
  • Develop and track the training calendar for certifications in firearms, tactics, first aid, etc.
  • Revise and maintain ongoing Team Lead, Assistant Team Lead, and EP security agent trainings as needed.


SOP and Compliance:

  • Assist with updating, reviewing, and formatting Black Box Security's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with BSIS, maintaining physical files on every agent and a deadly weapons log.


Budget and Resource Management:

  • Work with the CEO and CFO to create and adhere to the budget for the BBX Internal Training Division.
  • Develop ideas for neutral and self-funding training events.


External Relations and Recruitment:

  • Create and maintain relationships with outside vendors, certified instructors, and business owners for training purposes.
  • Work alongside Human Resources/Recruiter to liaise with outside organizations to recruit new agents.


Research and Development:

  • Assist with research and development on an as-needed basis, including product testing, innovations, technology, and new business presentations.


Liaison and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain a liaison with key leaders such as the President of Cal Saga, local law enforcement, and contacts at BSIS.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a training management role, preferably within the security industry.
  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the security industry, particularly for ultra-high-net-worth clientele.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations (BSIS).
  • Budget management experience is a plus.


Working Conditions:

  • This is a salaried position requiring full-time presence in the office.
  • Occasional travel to outside facilities for training sessions.
