Job Title: Director of Training

Black Box Security, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Training to lead our training division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and managing all aspects of our training program, driving a culture of excellence, and ensuring our team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training Program Development: Establish and drive the development of our training division, ensuring it supports the overall goals of Black Box Security.
  • Training Culture: Build a training culture focused on professionalism, tactical expertise, physical fitness, and adherence to company standards.
  • Training Delivery: Design and implement training programs covering classroom instruction, situational simulations, on-site scenario training, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Training Coordination: Administer and record physical fitness exams for agents, oversee tactical training, firearms certifications, and first aid training, ensuring all personnel are fully equipped for their roles.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development:
  • SOP Creation: Collaborate with leadership to create and refine SOPs based on industry best practices.
  • SOP Implementation: Ensure team members are aligned with the latest SOPs and implement training on these standards.
  • SOP Compliance: Regularly assess and ensure that agents maintain the highest standards of appearance, professional work attire, and overall presentation.
Vendor & Resource Management:
  • Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, certified instructors, and business owners to secure training venues and resources.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts and negotiations with training vendors, ensuring quality while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Program Ownership & Innovation:
  • Training Program Ownership: Take full ownership of the training program, constantly looking for ways to improve and proactively presenting solutions to challenges.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly/monthly updates to the CEO on training progress, upcoming initiatives, and any issues or successes.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in a training and leadership role within the security industry, with a strong background in residential security or executive protection.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of tactical, physical, and security training methodologies.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to foster a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • Management: Experience managing budgets, vendor relations, and contract negotiations.
