What is LucyTx doing?

Lucy Therapeutics is developing small molecule treatments to improve the lives of patients with devastating neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Rett Syndrome.  Our mitochondrial platform has led to the discovery of targets whose modulation can improve central energetic dysfunctions in these diseases and address their complex organ symptomatology with the potential for selectively in diseased vs. healthy cells.  Our platform offers the potential for further target identification across a variety of neurological (and other) diseases. Why join LucyTx?

We are looking for colleagues who are curious - curious about the world around them, curious about how things work and how to solve problems.  As the Executive Assistant, you will have hands-on experience working with the CEO and leadership team with a peripheral on the needs of the office and lab. Reporting to the CEO, you will have the opportunity to partner with high EQ executives and develop your own tactical and strategic skills while working with an experienced drug discovery team who value integrity, teamwork, idea generation, diversity, and demonstrating the passion to make a difference in the lives of patients.  


What will you be doing at LucyTx?

  • Complete external administrative tasks for CEO and senior leadership team (i.e., scheduling, travel arrangements, expense reports, and preparation of necessary materials including itineraries, meeting agendas, etc.)
  • Handle internal logistics involving senior leadership team (contract management and tracking, meeting scheduling and coordination, preparing agenda, sending materials for review prior to the meetings, taking notes and following up on action items, etc.)
  • Provide strong communication and coordination support to the internal executive team and external parties such as investor relations, CRO and vendors, and external collaborators.
  • Oversee office and business needs regarding correspondence, operational tasks, and prioritizing to meet deadlines
  • Consult with C-Suite as needed to solicit and provide critical updates, and to coordinate information and priorities
  • Respond to a wide variety of requests for information, policies and procedures, and executive action
  • Operate and maintain Google Drive, Google Docs, MS Office Suite including high-level PowerPoint presentations and Excel functions for C-Suite needs
  • Compile information and prepare slides from the leadership team for presentations 
  • Evaluate, compare, and present suggestions on administrative vendor changes and spearhead implementations and processes relating to new vendors and systems
  • Work alongside HR to plan company outings and team-building activities
  • Exercise tact, diplomacy, and discretion in creating written and verbal communications
  • Manage the social media accounts and job postings, in partnership with human resources and PR consultants
  • Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and an understanding of functional company objectives and scientific goals as pertains to C-Suite needs and objectives including prioritization of email responses, meeting prioritization
  • Work closely with external administrative staff on shared travel arrangements, meetings, agenda compilation, and briefings
  • Book all necessary travel and put together travel itineraries; reconcile and process expenses promptly on a monthly basis
  • Independently perform and deliver on special projects as needed and requested with minimal oversight


What will you bring to LucyTx?

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of EA experience, preferably in the life sciences industry
  • Strong command and facility with Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel), Google Suite (including Google Docs), Talent Acquisition sites (WRK, LI, Indeed), familiarity with QuickBooks a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail, execution of tasks, and follow-up are a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences are a must. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to manage competing or resolve conflicting demands, extremely organized, and have the ability to maintain excellent planning and time management skills
  • A process-driven problem solver, who is creative and always looking independently for improvements and solutions
  • Ability to comfortably interface with all levels of staff and stakeholders in and outside the organization
  • Successful candidates will be autonomous and will be able to handle highly confidential information and relationships with discretion
  • Willingness to ask questions and ability to work well in a team environment including cross-functional/multidisciplinary team settings
  • Positive, can-do attitude; integrity; values diversity; and flexibility to contribute to multiple projects as needed; with a respectful sense of humor
