Core Responsibilities

General Management Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and management of processes at HRM, Q&T, Lab, and Threading.
  • Support Quality on Finishing lines as needed.
  • Ensure the delivered product quality.
  • Implement and develop the quality management system for the plant.
  • Support inspections and surveillance processes.
  • Manage the Quality team at HRM, Q&T (Heat Treat), Lab, and Threading.
  • Implement training matrices for responsible areas.
  • Guide, motivate, assess, control, and develop staff members.
  • Manage budget use in alignment with economic goals.
  • Make decisions in case of quality problems.
  • Minimize operating costs from quality-related problems.
  • Manage supplier quality system audits and production capacity appraisals.
  • Participate in quality improvement process meetings with suppliers.
  • Maintain a non-conformance reporting system.
  • Liaise with and support customers, including executing plant tours.
  • Build and manage relationships with third-party suppliers and service providers.
  • Review and comply with health, safety, and environmental protection policies according to the management system.


Operating Officer

  • Coordinate and organize the departments of quality management and production areas•
  • Analyze and evaluate quality problems and claims.
  • Develop and review quality objectives and benchmarks.
  • Implement preventive and corrective actions.
  • Select and approve suppliers for raw materials, test equipment, and subcontractors based on quality.
  • Conduct internal audits.
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of the management system (processes and standards).


Reporting

  • Report to the Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with Production Managers, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maintenance, and Sales.
  • Work with customers, subcontractors, and inspection agencies for quality assurance.
  • Support external audits.


Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering (e.g., Metallurgy, Materials Science, Industrial, Mechanical) or related fields preferred; relevant experience will be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a QA manager in pipe/tube manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with OCTG products.
  • Experience with Heat Treatment of pipe.
  • Experience with Threading API and/or Semi-premium connections.
  • Familiarity with QMS systems, API, and/or customer audits preferred.
  • Preferred experience with steel making.
  • Strong product knowledge.
  • Ability to read, understand, and translate customer requirements (requiring deep technical understanding).
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of API, ASTM, ASME Standards is essential.
  • Knowledge of tubular manufacturing processes.
