We are a team of hard-working, passionate, professionals with extensive experience providing mental health services in long-term care and healthcare environments. We are driven to deliver the benefits of mental health as part of a larger continuum of care in the communities we serve. We strive for a balance of independent contributions and teamwork to deliver excellence and quality in everything we do.

This is a salaried employee position offering a blend of independence with the benefits of being part of a team for support, collaboration and professional growth. We handle the administrative work (generating caseload, verifying insurance, credentialing, billing, support, EHR, audits, and compliance), so you can focus on providing care to a diverse and clinically complex population otherwise underserved in mental health.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As needed, provide appropriate support to patient’s family, including psychoeducation and feedback to increase acceptance and adherence to treatment.

Facility / Customer

  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with facility staff.
  • Adhere to the policies and protocols of each assigned facility.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and prioritize patients. Obtain approvals and required documentation.
  • Coordinate schedule with each facility weekly.
  • Share mental health information with staff to assist in their daily care of residents.
  • Ensure seamless communication and updates on patient encounters, issues and next steps.
  • Participate in behavioral management and other interdisciplinary meetings.

General

  • Meet established service levels for response, treatment and reporting.
  • Maintain scheduling and caseload to meet established goals.
  • Accurately and completely maintain patient’s electronic chart with all required notes, testing and documentation.
  • Participate in company peer consultations regarding cases, situations and challenges.
  • Respond to internal and external calls, emails, texts and other communication in a timely manner.

Work Environment:

Psychologists can expect to perform certain duties, such as administrative tasks and occasional telehealth sessions from their home. Employees will be assigned various designated facilities where they will be expected to regularly report and conduct in-patient activities and services. Employees are expected to travel between work locations regularly.

To ensure employees are able to meet the demands and requirements of the position, employees who perform duties “on-site” are subject to periodic and regular health screenings (COVID testing, etc.).

COVID-19 vaccination and booster required.

Employees must be able to regularly wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, face masks, medical gowns and similar. Background check required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid and current license to practice psychology in the state of California, free of any restrictions or limitations.
  • A National Provider Identifier.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research modalities
  • Familiarity and experience with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
  • 2+ years of experience assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • 2+ years creating and implementing functional treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Able to adapt to different and changing work environments.
